| Victory Pushes Quakers Record to 81-65 | The Philadelphia Quakers got a stellar performance from pitcher Jacob White, who handcuffed the Cleveland offense en route to a 3-1 win at Myers Field. White got the win, improving to 16-4. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. White allowed no earned runs. The Quakers bumped their record to 81-65 with this latest triumph.
The Quakers got a big at-bat from second baseman Jorge Méndez. For the game, Méndez was 1 for 3. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 163rd hit of the season gave Philadelphia a 2-1 lead.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Méndez said after the game.
