| Pilots Prove Rude Guests, Win 6-2 at St. Louis | The Seattle Pilots topped the St. Louis Perfectos by the score of 6-2, with the largest share of the credit going to shortstop Bob Baker. Baker was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Pilots. Seattle starter Ben Hernández was credited with the win after throwing 101 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 6-7. Seattle is now 70-80, St. Louis 78-71.
Baker had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the second inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Pilots went on to win.
