| Hucknall Slugs Bayou Rats to 10-1 Win | The Houston Bayou Rats downed the Boston Beaneaters, 10-1, at South End Grounds. John Hucknall led the way, going 2-for-5 for Houston. Houston has now reeled off 10 straight wins.
One important at-bat for Houston came with one out in the top of the ninth inning. With the bases loaded, Hucknall hit a grand slam, which contributed to the Bayou Rats win.
Bayou Rats manager Paul Lupi had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
