| Beaneaters Walk Off with Win | The Boston Beaneaters topped the Houston Bayou Rats, 3-2, in Gehrig League action at South End Grounds. The player of the game was Boston pitcher Carl Hall. With the victory, the Beaneaters record now stands at 68-91.
Yoshitomo Ishii was the walk-off hero for Boston. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Beaneaters pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Hall said.
