| Pilots Lose, 4-2, at Rochester Stadium | Fans who gathered at Rochester Stadium saw a good contest between the Rochester Redbirds and Seattle Pilots.
Rochester Redbirds starter Gonzalo Durán was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Seattle Pilots, 4-2. Oscar Gimenez earned his 42nd save in 52 chances.
The Redbirds got a big at-bat from shortstop Cristo Goena. For the game, Goena was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season gave Rochester a 2-0 lead.
Goena said he was "thrilled" the fans had something to get excited about.
