The St. Louis Perfectos turned back the Oakland Oaks, 5-4, at Juliet Gunn Field. Carlos Rodríguez was named player of the game for his fine performance. He belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The winner was St. Louis reliever Ron Arnold, now 2-5. The loser was Brit López.
St. Louis won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Brit López on the mound for Oakland, pinch hitter Curt Gardner hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Perfectos fans to their feet.
