| Spiders Rally For Late Win Over Superbas | Cleveland starter Dave Bell pitched effectively against the Brooklyn Superbas at Manse Park. The right-hander led his team to a 6-4 win. Clinton Johnson converted his 13th save in 15 tries. Cleveland improves to 95-67 with the win. They lead their division by 5 games.
John Wood had a clutch at-bat with no one out in the top of the eighth for the Spiders. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Cleveland trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run home run.
