The victory advanced the Spiders to the Federal Series. For his superb play in the series, Spiders left fielder Jeremy Beasley garnered the series MVP trophy, hitting .500, scoring 6 runs and batting in 10. "Only thing better than getting MVP for winning in the playoffs would be winning MVP for winning in the Federal Series," Beasley said later. "I'll get to work on that." The Cleveland Spiders don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Hollywood Stars - Rochester Redbirds series. Hollywood leads the series 3 games to 0.
