 | Stars Dominate, Sweep League Championship Series Sunday, October 8th, 2034 Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Robinson League League Championship Series. It turned out quite a bit different.
The Hollywood Stars swept aside the Rochester Redbirds to advance to the Federal Series, winning the final game by a 1-0 score at Gilmore Field.
The series MVP was left fielder Roberto Salinas, who hit .375 with a .444 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 2 runs.
"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."
The Hollywood Stars will play against the Cleveland Spiders in the next round. Cleveland won their series against the Houston Bayou Rats 4 games to 1. The Federal Series is scheduled to begin on October 13th, 2034.
