Victory Pushes Beaneaters Record to 44-28
|
The Boston Beaneaters defeated the Cleveland Spiders, 4-3, in Gehrig League action at Sockalexis Stadium, with Boston pitcher Bill Parsons named player of the game. Will White converted his 20th save in 22 tries. The Beaneaters have an impressive 44-28 record.
In the top of the 6th, shortstop Ray Marsh gave Boston the lead when he hit a 2-run home run. The Beaneaters had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out home run off Cleveland pitcher Barney Johnston changed that -- and Boston went on to win.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Parsons said.
