|
The Boston Beaneaters got a stellar performance from pitcher Lou Murray, who handcuffed the Cleveland offense en route to a 10-2 win at Sockalexis Stadium. Murray got the win, improving to 10-10. He allowed 7 hits and walked 2 over 9 innings. Murray allowed 2 earned runs. The Beaneaters bumped their record to 83-65 with this latest triumph.
Miguel Concepción, who is tied for 9th in the GL in stolen bases with 17, aided the Boston cause with a 2-run single in the top of the sixth. For the game, the left fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3.
