| Pilots Come Back Late to Clip X Giants | Seattle starter Ronald McGruder pitched effectively against the Miami X Giants at Elian Gonzalez Field. The right-hander led his team to a 2-1 win. McGruder picked up the win for Seattle, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 4-6. Miami has now lost 7 consecutive games.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 2nd and one out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when catcher Lou Jackson, who is tied for 4th in the RL with a .933 OPS, drew a walk. The Pilots went on to win.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Christian Tregillis.
