| Oaks Rally For Late Win Over Beaneaters | Luis Ríos left his imprint on the 7-6 Oakland win against the Boston Beaneaters. Ríos, who is tied for 2nd in the RL in bases on balls with 78, went 1-3 with a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Reliever Brit López picked up the win. His record improves to 5-4. Pat Bates took the loss. The 4th-place Oaks raised their record to 54-58.
Johnny Blue was 2 for 3 with a double. He scored 2 times for Oakland. The 23-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Pat Bates. It was his 18th RBI of the season.
