| Beaneaters Stymie Rochester, Take 2-1 Win | Boston starter Alan Lindsey had a strong outing against the Rochester Redbirds at Rochester Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-1 win. In 6.1 innings, Lindsey surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. With the win, Boston goes to 56-60, while the Redbirds fall to 64-52.
Orlando Estrada drove in one run for Boston. The 29-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Jeff Hartman. It was his 56th RBI of the season.
