The Oakland Oaks topped the Miami X Giants, 4-2, in Robinson League action at Elian Gonzalez Field. The player of the game was Oakland pitcher and New York native Chris Sitton. With the win over Miami, the Oaks improved to 58-61.

Mark Davis's at-bat in the top of the fifth inning was a big one for Oakland. Coming to bat with no one out, runners on 1st and 3rd and Oakland trailing 1-0, the center fielder reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run.

"I thought we played a nice game," Davis told the Oakland Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
