| Beaneaters Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Quakers | Getting a good performance from catcher Orlando Estrada, the Boston Beaneaters defeated the Philadelphia Quakers, 9-5. Estrada went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Beaneaters. The winner was Boston reliever Richard Bracy, now 2-0. The loser was Jesse Boone.
