Costello Helps Chicago Cruise to 13-3 Win

Chicago and Oakland met at Monster Park in front of a lively crowd.

Chicago center fielder Pedro Costello had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 13-3 win over the Oakland Oaks. Frank Farrell, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings.

Chicago pitcher Frank Farrell contributed to the cause with a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth. For the game, Farrell came in in relief and pitched to 10 batters .

"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Farrell said (again).

The last-place Whales raised their record to 60-84.
