| Bayou Rats Get Road Win, 3-1 | The Houston Bayou Rats topped the Miami X Giants, 3-1, in Gehrig League action at Elian Gonzalez Field. The player of the game was Houston pitcher and Mexico native Ramiro Cruz. Alfredo Ángel notched his 24th save in 28 chances. The Bayou Rats bumped their record to 79-68 with this latest triumph.
The Bayou Rats got a big at-bat from third baseman Diego Reyes. For the game, Reyes was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 32nd home run of the season gave Houston a 2-1 lead.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Reyes.
