Lumbrera Slugs Spiders to 6-2 Win
|
A 3-RBI performance from José Lumbrera helped the Cleveland Spiders beat the Hollywood Stars, 6-2. Karl Jacoby, the winner, improved to 7-9. He held the Stars to 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 2. Even with the win, the Spiders have a dismal 30-63 record.
José Rosas hit a 2-run double off Júlio Román in the top of the fifth, which put the Spiders in front, 3-2. In addition to the double, Rosas had 2 singles, while going 3 for 5.
