Quakers Lose to Spiders, 8-6
|
The Cleveland Spiders downed the Philadelphia Quakers, 8-6, at Sockalexis Stadium. Chris Love led the way, going 2-for-4 for Cleveland. Ricardo Reyes got the save, the 1st for him this season. With the loss, Philadelphia sinks to 2-2.
Love had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch sinker from Rubén Martínez, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Spiders a 7-6 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Love.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Love. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
