The Rochester Redbirds overcame a good performance by Houston catcher Warren Bennett to knock off Houston, 13-9, at The Rats' Nest. Bennett was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. The Redbirds, at 34-24, lead by one game in their division.

Cristo Goena, the 12th overall pick in the 2027 draft, aided the Rochester cause with a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1 for 1 with a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Goena.
