Quakers Fall to .500 After Loss to Superbas
|
Getting a good performance from center fielder Michael Dixon, the Brooklyn Superbas defeated the Philadelphia Quakers, 7-4. Dixon was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Superbas. Juan Machado, credited with the win, is now 1-3. He allowed 4 runs on 8 hits in 6 innings. The Superbas, now 11-21, have not found much traction so far in 2030.
Dixon had a key at-bat for Brooklyn early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and gave Brooklyn an early 3-0 lead.
"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Dixon said (again).
