Padres Shut Out Oaks
|
It was a good time at PETCO Park, where fans came to watch the Oakland Oaks and San Diego Padres get after it.
San Diego Padres starter Lorenzo Urbina turned in a top-notch performance against the Oakland Oaks at PETCO Park. The result was a win for the Padres, 3-0. In 7 innings, Urbina surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 4. He allowed no runs.
The Padres got a big at-bat from shortstop Ward Wallace. For the game, Wallace was 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 19th double of the season gave San Diego a 1-0 lead.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Wallace.
San Diego now has a 3-game win streak.
