|
The St. Louis Perfectos defeated the Brooklyn Superbas, 6-2, in Robinson League action at Juliet Gunn Field, with St. Louis pitcher John Morris named player of the game. Morris, the winner, moves to 5-1. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 3 walks. The Perfectos bumped their record to 27-27 with this latest triumph.
Pedro Colón, who is tied for 3rd in the RL with a .362 batting average, aided the St. Louis cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 3 with 2 walks.
